Austin is STILL growing! The April market report is here and shows an upward trend from last month. In the Austin area, the median price of single-family homes was $316,000, a 3.6% increase from last April, and an $11,000 hike from last month. About the same amount of homes sold this April compared to last April, and homes are being sold in the same amount of time as last April, around 50 days.
Inventory of total available homes is just over two months. This is under the ideal amount of homes for sale in a balanced market. Buyers can likely expect rising home prices and higher competition due to the inventory shortage, while sellers can expect to encounter a larger pool of buyers.
